Vivarium

The Vivarium is a permanent exhibition of small animals from over 40 local and exotic species of spiders, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals, presented in 35 aquariums, aquariums and terrariums.

Visiting hours: Tuesday – Sunday: 10.00-17.00. Last entry: 30 minutes before closing. You can book a visit at the Vivarium in advance if you are a group (not more than 40 people, a group of maximum 30, which can be joined by 10 private visitors) by calling the museum secretariat, no. 0259479918, between 9.00-15.00. The visit takes 25/ 30 minutes. Individual visitors are welcomed as well (without scheduling). They can also join groups, within the limits set out above.

The following visiting rules are mandatory: the space cannot be overloaded; the microclimate in the exhibition spaces has to be preserved; visitors’ behavior shall respect the animals’ safety.

Tickets can be purchased at the cashier located at the main entrance of the museum building, and the ticket price is: 6 lei for adults and 3 lei for children over 4 years, pupils, students, retired. Entrance is free for children up to 4 years old, children  in foster care, war veterans, current workers and retired personnel from the national museum network.

The entrance is made from the courtyard of the museum, through the separate entrance of the Vivarium, following the signs.
