THE GATHERING AT THE MUSEUM

The Țării Crișurilor Museum Oradea – Cultural Complex, in partnership with Bihor County Council, Oradea City Hall and the “Friends of the Țării Crișurilor Museum” Association, is organizing a new Gathering at the Museum, an activity that is part of the project dedicated to reviving the traditional Romanian shirt once worn in the Crișana region. We warmly invite all those interested to take part.

The activity will take place between September 4, 2025 – June 24, 2026, with monthly meetings held at the Țării Crișurilor Museum (1/A Armatei Române Street). The first gathering will take place on Thursday, September 4, at 5:00 p.m.

This edition is conceived as a tribute to Tereza Mozes, founder of the Ethnography Section of the Țării Crișurilor Museum, to whom we owe most of the treasures of our folk costume collection.

The fourth year is a culmination of the previous ones, during which the shirts we crafted led us through numerous villages across the Criș rivers and their tributaries, while also acquainting us with old tailoring patterns and various decorative techniques.

Participation fee: 50 lei / year. Materials will be provided by the participants.
